Obama's School idea

Obama wants to add more hours onto the school day. He believes that kids need to catch up with the growing times and need to learn more. He saw in other countries that schools with longer hours the students have higher test scores. He wants that for our country and he wants ou students to learn more. He wants poorer people top be able to get the same education as high class people.

I think adding another hour won't be so bad. I will be able to get my work done that I cannot do in school (due to Tech Prep). I think though it will cost alot to do that, plus it could be inconvient to some students that have to go to work right after school like at 3:30 and school doesn't get out til 5:00. I have mixed feelings on teh whole thing.

Health Care Bill

Nancy Polosi is working on a bill that will tax wealthier Americans and make a more robust goverment run health care bill. This bill has been preseanted to the House,but was shot down by Democrats. The orginal medicare bill was sappose to be veiwed by public learders so they can get a public option on it but Polosi sees that as a way for Democrats to shoot it down again so for her new bill she will not be getting public option and presant her newer version of the bill to the House within the week and without pulic options. The House will be reviewing their own bill along with this one.

I am not really sure what to say about this. I think that we should tax the wealthier people but as for goverment health care or what ever it is I'm not to sure about it. I don't understand whats so bad about it or good about it.

Obama's 1st 200 days

So far in the Obama administartion I believe things are going as well as they could be in this economic mess. He is trying his best to get this country to back on track and handle the big issues like the imagration problem and the war in the middle east. One thing that gets me is people that say he isn't doing anything and is doing a bad job. He is just doing the best he can and he is kinda new to being president. I do not tink anyone can make a solid opition aboyt things until atleast a year has passed and all.
